Facebook is a social network, and on dA socializing is less important. A way less, because it's am ART cite
I also use both. facebook's awesome to stay in contact with many friends, but you have to know ow to use it. So much people post their whole names on it, their likes and dislikes, family relations and much more. Then they crying why they're flooded with advertising or their data are used without permission. In fact the creator of facebook is a moneyhungry asshole and sells his users data. deviantart loves its members and does everything to protect them (for example: journals how to protect yourself from viruses).
Anyway, you can't compare these communites, because they have complete different concepts. Deviantart for art and facebookfor friends.
