Stamp: Fear of babies by Riza-Izumi Stamp: Fear of babies by Riza-Izumi
Yes, I have a fear of babies. Even when I was younger (like 4-6) I didn't like them. I remember being little and if and when people would bring their infant to the house, and everyone was like, "Dawww look at da kawaii desu buby!111" I was like :| the dog's ass is cuter than that thing :XD:

I know some people say, "People who think babies are disgusting are immature and impatient."

Well, I do have a very immature sense of humor, but I also realize that raising a baby isn't like raising a puppy or kitten. My friends who LOVE babies, and aren't afraid of them, are more immature about it than, me. After, all, they think raising a child is as easy as 1 2 3, they think they can raise a kid even though they are 13 1/2 and 14 1/2.

As for being impatient, well, I'm not going to deny, that I am impatient. I can't handle their screaming and crying, it drives me insane. They piss and shit themselves all the time, and I have a cleanliness OCD, so that just makes me even more disgusted. They're bulging eyes, toothless mouth, how they blow snot out of their nose and how they drool on themselves just freaks me out. How soft and fragile they doesn't help ether.

If someone was to place their infant in my hands, I'm probably come close to having a panic attack. I wouldn't drop the baby, I'd make sure of that, but that wouldn't stop me from nearly having a breakdown.

And before anyone says, "Riza, you were a baby once too."

Really, I honestly didn't know that  Just cause I was one, doesn't mean I have to like them, or think their kawaii.

I don't hate Babies, I do Think they are cute and all that, but if you ask me why I can't say why.
But if I have to choose between a baby and kittens or puppies I will say that the kid is cute but then I would be with the baby animal instead, I like them better and that I can say I get from my dad...

I have a niece and a nephew and I can say that I get along with my nephew better then my neice.
the thing is both times when my brother was going to say that he was going to be a daddy, he did it on my birthday party!
That was not so fun, I already had to share my party with my mum, okay that part was ok. but they could have told us Another day as that was my special day and not theirs.

People are like DEH SO CUTE!!!! when actually, they look like maggots, stare at you and they do nothing but be gross, scream and look ugly. Not cute at all. Babies creep me out.

Compare a kitten to a human infant.
Kittens are 100000000 times cuter.

I do think babies are cute, but I always have a fear of holding newborns because I'm afraid that either; I'll drop them (which I never have) or they'll immediately start crying (which my niece did when I first held her the day she was born)

I agree with you. Babies are gross in my opinion. I don't like them anywhere near me because I know they won't cover up a cough or sneeze, and could spit up on me. I don't understand why people make a big fuss over them. They're no more special than anyone else is, unless shitting themselves makes them special...

You being pro-choice, it makes sense you would hate children. All you pro-choicers do.

Actually most pro-choicers love kids. We actually care about what will happen to them after they are born.

Well, I'm not scared of babies, but I always try to steer well clear of them! xD
I agree with you about the cuteness. The way they make such a mess with their shitting and sneezing and crying annoys the hell out of me and they are just NOT cute because of all this!!
Puppies and kittens are cute. Babies, are not.

Yay, someone else who's freaked out by babies over how unclean, fragile, and noisy they are!
I can't stand really loud noises (I have an anxiety disorder and they really put me on edge) and I don't want to have to worry about making the little creature cry or having to make sure I don't break it.

It's like you reached into my brain and pulled out every little thought and feeling I have toward babies (and still have when I'll be 30 in a few months). And you know what? I'm proud I don't like them and think they're gross! Thanks for making this and writing what I've always been too afraid to say around ANY female relatives or friend because they pounce like crazed, rabid hyenas. @_@

I'm ok with babies being in the same house as me and what not, but I am /not/ ok with people trying to make me talk to or look after their kid. I'm sorry, but I'm straight up awkward with babies. If you ask me to babysit one and run off before I can shove it back into your arms we'd probably just sit there staring at each other until you came back to get it. Babies are just so damn fragile, I'm afraid I'll hurt them if I try to do anything with them since I am notorious for accidentally hurting people, and then I'd have angry parents all over my ass. And I also can't handle it when babies cry, I just want to cover my ears and run the other way. The same applies to when they shit themselves too.

I'm not afraid of babies, though I don't love them either.
When I was in 1st grade.. One of the 'aunts' that used to watch over me (and other kids as well, of course) in kindergarten had a baby. Me and my mom visited her, and I didn't even take a good look at the baby. I just asked where the kittens are so I could play with them (okay, my way of handling animals at that age isn't something I could be proud of.. But back then I didn't know it hurts them if I grab them and hold them unproperly etc.). And when my mom asked me if I don't want to see the baby, I said I'd rather see baby cats...
When I was about 9 or so, a lot of my relatives got a kid. Mostly boys, to be worse. (Back then I was a manhater.. blame one of my brothers for that.) On my birthday, I was left ignored while everyone was watching and playing with the babies (who came along with their mothers, of course), and it really hurt me.. That's when I started hating babies, though I didn't like them before that either. Next year, for my birthday, a lot of my friends said they'd only come if a certain baby (there were like 3 of them) would be there.
Now I managed to overcome the hate, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable being in the same room with one, or having to take care of it. Though I was never afraid of raising a kid, except.. Once I become a mother, I'd like to skip the first 3 years.
Ironically, my dad is a pediatric doctor and my sister is going to work in a kindergarten when she finishes school (she is at second-job school for those who would work in kindergartens or lower school classes).

I'd rather have played with kittens instead myself ^^ Kittens are so cute

And that's just stupid, abandon you on YOUR BIRTHDAY for a bunch of screaming babies, that aren't going to do anything, but sleep, or cry. I'd rather watch a 9 year old on his / her birthday that watch babies do nothing.

Especially when they play :3

Yeah, I mean I could understand their mothers (Of course they wouldn't leave their own kids somewhere, alone), I could even understand my parents, but not my school friends. Who I invited on my birthday party. For a party. Not to see the babies.
I even took a paper and wrote 'the babies aren't having a birthday' and stuck it to the kitchen/dining room/living room (yes it's all the same room)'s door. Well, at least it helped, but next year.. Well I already told you about that.

I don't know what the heck is so special about babies
it's not a miracle really to get one in my opinion...
When people bring baby near me, I start to panic an go far away from it. I don't want to touch them, I don't want that they touch me. I don't want to hold them because I will most likely drop them...
I hate high noises, other people's crying, and when it comes to babies, my brains just go crazy and melt.

Same here. People say that their our future (which they are), but that still doesn't mean, we need to spoil or worship them.

 I'm the same way (obviously). When my friend brought her 2 year old up, I was holding very still in hopes he wouldn't notice me, and when he did notice me I'd go "...he noticed me."

Heh, yeah.
I've seen my 1 year old cousin only once IRL, but my aunt floods her own FB with the photos of this baby. She even has her profile pic her child, with a food all over the place.. I mean, no need to put your child pictures to Facebook? Dear chocolate-bar-lord only knows what kinda pedo's there is around there.

Oh, my cousin does the same with her two kids (a boy and a girl), and personally I don't care, but I also have a lot of other news feed so I probably don't see half of it :XD: I know I wont do that. I'm not going to take a picture of every movement or non-movement my child makes. And personally, I'd rather have my profile picture of me, not someone else (maybe have someone else with in it though).
