I'm so sick of one side going, "LOL fat people r butter." and the other side, "LOL fat people r skum." :| Fat people aren't demons or Gods, they are humans who happen to be....fat.

In (a lot of) schools, and on the media, fat people are worshiped, just for being fat :| Why should they get special treatment? They should be treated like everyone else.

My family, treats fat people like scum, every time I talk about my fat cousin Chris, my grandmother always has to bring up his fatness, as if him, being fat is a personal attack. Hell, if I even eat a little junk food (i.e. one small candy bar) my dad has to ask if I'm pregnant or how much I weigh :stare:

I wish both sides would just shut the fuck up.

I'm overweight but not grossley obese to the point I can't leave my own house, I can still walk and do other exercises so that's not a huge issue for me. I can't stand it when people treat others differently because of their weight were all human aren't we no matter what size we are.

I don't hate fat people, but I do hate their neglect of self when it isn't because of a disorder. I also hate how everyone is acting like fat people are sexier than everyone else sometimes, and that promotes obesity, too.
It's the same with other minorities. There are going to be people who hate them, and people who worship them. The thing is, we're all humans, we all have rights, and we all deserve to be a part of the American Dream. It's just that prejudice has dissuaded us from the truth.

I don't know much about this. I'm 6'2 165ibs and in great shape. But I think most of what, ahem, "fat people" claim as descrimination or hate, is just them complaining about people of the opposite sex not being romantically/sexually interested in them... That's because your fat.

Cause and effect, you don't have the body i appreciate. Slight chubby is great, but super fat or twig status is unnattractive to most. I'm not sorry.

PS: did you see the episode of south park where cartman got a scooter?

Ugh. I hate it when people worship me for my weight, and they think that I'm fine with it. I'm not. Being fat is not fun for me.
The only thing I hate more is the discrimination.

I hate how obsessed people are with the idea of everyone being perfect and normal. It annoys the hell out of me that in today's culture you are critisized for being too skinny, too fat, too tall, too short, everything. Why are we so obsessed with the concept of normal? I find differences in people to be the best thing about humanity, and one of the things that gets me to wake up in the morning.

I do not think it's an obsession with 'normal' more so a possibly too aggressive position against unhealthy lifestyles and poor habits.

Obesity is an epidemic with serious health risks and expenses.
Teaching people to do better and do right is better than attacking them.

Why care? Unless they smell funky, are morbidly obese or it affects there health it shouldn't be bad. I understand being 5-15 pounds over weight, not everyones itty bitty but if you're 25+ plus at a young age thats got to be bad :|


At the same time though some people will call skinny people anorexic, or bulimic sometimes.

People mistreat you when you are fat and also mistreat you if you are skinny (my case till last year). What the fuck they have to do with somebody else's shape? I just don't get it.
